WebPion terms, simply explained

A few terms appear often. Here is what they mean in WebPion, without adding promises they do not carry.

Local processing

An operation executed in the browser. For features marked local, file content is not sent to WebPion.

Zero-Knowledge

In WebPion, this describes an architecture designed not to receive file content for local processing and to minimize server-side data.

Prism

WebPion's main entry point for dropping a file, seeing compatible actions, and starting a process.

Clean

A tool for inspecting, removing, and deliberately rewriting metadata in compatible images.

Verify

A tool that shows available provenance information without concluding beyond what can actually be verified.

File hash

A value calculated from file content, useful for comparison or integrity checks. SHA-256 is offered for modern uses.

Privacy, simply

No advertising, no profiling and no cross-site tracking. Your preferences and the items you choose to save remain on your device.
