Our story

A small idea that became a toolbox

WebPion started with a simple need: convert an image in the browser while keeping control of the file.

WebP

WebP, the image format that started the first experiments.

♟ Pion

Pion, the chess pawn representing the first move.

WebP + Pion = WebPion

The name stayed while the project kept moving forward.

V1

The first move

On 30 November 2025, a first cyberpunk interface converted WebP, PNG and JPEG in the browser with a simple console.

V2

The file becomes a document

PDF joined WebPion with merging and new processing, still close to the device.

V3

More tools, more ambition

Several tools were brought together. Power increased, but the entry point became less obvious.

V4

Prism, back to the file

Prism puts the file back at the centre, simplifies names, strengthens mobile-first design and documents what stays local.

A tool for action, not complexity

WebPion explains what you can do first, then gives technical details to people who want to verify.
